Project Overview
The Grenada Sustainable Development Trust Fund (GSDTF) invites qualified contractors, consulting engineers, and engineering firms to submit bids for the structural assessment of the Mt. Gazo Forest Reserve Lookout Point. This elevated timber structure (12ft x 12ft, 20ft height) requires a comprehensive evaluation to determine its integrity and propose rehabilitation measures.
Scope of Work
The selected bidder will undertake:
- Preliminary Investigations: Review existing design documents and consult with stakeholders.
- Site Inspection: Conduct visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify deterioration, termite damage, corrosion, and other defects.
- Structural Assessment: Analyse load-bearing capacity and stability against international standards.
- Recommendations: Propose remedial solutions, including materials, techniques, and sustainability considerations.
- Documentation: Deliver a Bill of Quantities (BoQ), Scope of Works (SoW), and conceptual drawings.
- Reporting: Submit a detailed report and present findings to GSDTF.
Bidder Eligibility
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural assessments of elevated timber structures.
- Must be registered and licensed in Grenada, with a Chartered Structural Engineer on the team.
- Demonstrate technical capacity, project experience (3+ similar projects), and HSE compliance.
Submission Requirements
Interested bidders must submit:
- Company profile, registration, and tax documents.
- Technical and financial proposals (methodology, work plan, team details, references, HSE procedures).
- Valid for 90 days from the submission deadline.

Bids will be evaluated based on:
- Technical qualifications (30%)
- Methodology and approach (25%)
- Key personnel expertise (15%)
- Cost-effectiveness (20%)
- Proposed timeline (10%)
