The St. Mark’s Women in Action Inc. initiative contributes to the capacity and skill development leading to sustainable livelihoods.
To support capacity and livelihood development in one of the penurious parishes in Grenada, the organization was granted a one-off payment to exclusively empower and certify selected women of St. Mark with a Caribbean Vocational Qualification Level 1 (CVQ L1) training in fish processing. This training and certification will benefit ten (10) women in the community who will eventually become entrepreneurs and through whom can result in an increased supply of processed fish locally.
The National Training Agency (NTA), Produce Chemist Lab, Grenada Bureau of Standards (GDBS) and other stakeholders will provide various technical and analytical support services to ensure that the quality and standard of the products add value toward increasing market accessibility.
