GSDTF’S GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE
As a non-profit organization financed by donor agencies; the Fund’s organizational structure follows
principles of good governance, effective management and efficiency.
The GSDTF is managed by the Board of Directors comprising of Government and non-government representatives (Articles of Incorporation and By-laws) who may exercise all powers in accordance with and subject to restrictions imposed by the Articles of Incorporation, the By-laws, any legally binding agreement entered on behalf of the GSDTF and any applicable law or regulation of Grenada.
In terms of the Grant-making Process, the Board approves the Grant-making Manual, and the Grant-making Programme priorities, by defining the Fund’s Strategic Plan. Also, the award of the all grants is approved by the Board of Directors.
Chief Executive Officer and staff
The Fund’s operations are carried out by the Secretariat, led by the
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who is selected by the Board. The GSDTF has a very lean structure in terms of staff, having an Administrative Officer and a service agreement for accounting services. A technical officer will be hired in the future to carry out the grants monitoring.
Committees
The Board may establish various committees based on the Fund’s programme and objectives. The Committees will give technical support and make recommendations to the Board for approval. The composition and duration of the committees will depend on the projects aligned in the strategic plan.
